An American In Paris... In Britain

Whilst scrolling through one of my beloved and sacred British Vogues I happened to stumble upon pages dedicated to none other than Karlie Kloss. The April 2012 issue of UK Vogue contained an article entitled "An American in Paris" (after the well-known 50's film). The article was all about Karlie's ridiculously busy schedule at the Spring/Summer 2012 Couture shows. I couldn't help but look in awe at the stunning pictures that accompanied the commentary. Many models look glamorous and “perfect” when they’re smothered in inches of foundation, eyeliner and lip-gloss but Karlie seems to look the most stunning when she’s dressed down and natural with a toothbrush in her mouth.

Fresh-faced and Glowing

Born in 1992, American model, Karlie Elizabeth Kloss, is only turning 20 this year and has taken the fashion industry by storm!  

Fresh-faced and glowing, Karlie was discovered at the tender age of 13 at a charity fashion show in St Louis, her hometown. Two years later she signed with Elite Model Management and a year after that changed to NEXT model management. In the autumn of that year, 2008, she walked 64 runways – that’s an enormous achievement for a 16 year old!

Elegant and poised (these traits are possibly the outcome of years of ballet), Karlie has dominated runways and fashion magazines all around the world. Open any style publication and you are guaranteed to see her agile angular frame, sharply pointed eyebrows and mesmerising smile.
